No, never use any product intended for dogs on cats and vice versa. They are specifically formulated for only one species and contain different ingredients.
You’ll want to give your dog the "loading" amount of Vetscription® Joint-Eze Plus™ for the first three weeks, everyday. This helps them build up and overcome deficiencies. It is safe for you to give the chews all at once or to give them as a treat throughout the day. Once the three week period is complete, you can give your dog the daily "maintenance" amount of chews from then on. As always, be sure to read the label very carefully, just like with any other product you use for your pets.
You will want to give your dog a second dose of Vetscription® Worm-Away® 10 days after the initial treatment. After this, you can repeat treatment as necessary but never worm the dog any more often than once every 10 days. If you have treated your dog on multiple occasions and are still seeing worms or symptoms of worms, you should ask a veterinarian in order to determine what type of worm your dog might have.
No, we do not recommend administering the entire Vetscription® Worm-Away® capsule to the animal. You can try hiding the contents in a ball of cheese, peanut butter or a bowl of tuna (depending on if a dog or cat) to mask the taste of the product.
You should not use this wormer or any other medication if it has expired. Although the product would be unlikely be harmful to your pet, it would probably not be effective in removing worms.
